Lordchain is a Christian band. Each band member is born again and has dedicated their lives to Jesus Christ.
Jeff Grady and Kelly Matthews formed Lordchain in January 1990 under the name Eternity. Over the next 3 1/2 years, they would release several demo tapes and achieve local and national recognition. With the experimentation of musical styles from light rock to speed metal and thrash, the band settled into more of a straight-ahead groove metal vane when bassist, David Fain joined in the summer of 1993. This lead to the band placing in MTV's Beach House Band Search in 1994. After receiving self produced music videos of original songs from acts worldwide, Eternity placed in the top 50. This certified the band as one of the top independent acts on the planet.
In 1996 the name of the band was officially changed to Lordchain. The following year they released their first full length, self titled CD, which featured a reworked version of the MTV award winning song "Follow Me."
The artwork for the self-titled CD was painted by the two time HM magazine reader's poll album cover of the year winner Troy Dunmire.
In 1998 the band regrouped and added Dale Bassham on guitar and vocals. This solidified the band and made it musically stronger than it had ever been. Over the years Lordchain has played with many well known artists such as Tourniquet, Bride, Seraiah, and many others as well as appearing on HM magazine's Hard music Sampler Nov-Dec 1997.
In July, 2002, Lordchain released their 2nd full length CD titled "Cracked". This project features 14 songs that concert-goers had been hearing since 2000. Over the years styles and situations may have changed, but one thing hasn't, Lordchain's faith in Jesus Christ.
